SCUOLABIO - SCUOLABIO is a natural furniture range of products specially designed for 0 to 6 year-old children. The products are certified in compliance with ANAB – ICEA standards for Ecological Furniture.
Children’s health – Small children suffer more and more frequently from allergies. This largely depends on the amount of pollutants we are daily exposed to. The air of our towns is more and more polluted, nor are our rooms better. Chemical paints, plastic materials, synthetic resins make houses, schools and offices full of poisons.
Health and Bioarchitecture – Bioarchitecture suggests many solutions with natural materials. Mobilificio Fattorini adopted these technologies and materials, creating Scuolabio: an innovative project as regards furniture for day nurseries, nursery schools, recreation centres and play rooms for children.
Our products – These pictures show just a few of the large variety of products that can be manufactured according to drawing and to measure. Our products are suited to several teaching methods; from the Montessori method to the Steiner one, always aiming at the children well-being.
Materials – we use solid woods coming from Europe or North-America and some certified woods. All panels (blockboard, multiply, plywood and laminated wood) belong to E1 class (very low formaldehyde emissions). We do not use chipboard or melamine wood.
Technologies – While manufacturing our furniture, we prefer to use joints, not only to qualify our products from an aesthetic point of view, but also from an environmental one, because they enable to reduce glues to a minimum. We use formaldehyde-free, vinyl-glues. All bed types are built without metal couplers, featuring wooden joints and solid wood slats.
Finish - Mobilificio Fattorini uses citrus fruits oil based fillers, suited for the epidermic and salivary contact in accordance with DIN 53160 and the EN 71(toys) regulations. Pigments used for fillers have a vegetal or mineral origin. Colours are never full; they are soft and let the wood venation appear.
Accessories – In addition to furniture, Mobilificio Fattorini proposes pure cotton futons, cushions filled with natural materials, unbleached cotton and hempen, mats, tatami, hand-made papers as healthy furniture complements.
Toys - Mobilificio Fattorini proposes simple wooden toys such as cradles, wheelbarrows, kitchens, to discover again games where children play the leading role. There are also sets of toy building bricks comprising elementary geometrical shapes, joints and holes, made of several wood types, or of birch multiply with colored ecologic finish.
